Today I would like to write a post to all my fellow men out there who are just considering to become engaged.

Some hearts images will show larger deviations and some won’t. This is definitely not something that you would ever be able to see with your bare eyes.
But for me it was great fun anyways to search for that one perfect diamond that would be the pinnacle of diamond craftsmanship! This is what I wanted to give to my future wife.
With some help of several diamond experts I was able to find a diamond that had the perfect diamond image.
Not only that but it also had the best diamond proportions you could ever think up!
The best and most balanced diamond proportions are a 34.5° crown angle and a 40.8° pavilion angle! This is exactly the kind of diamond I got!
Of course, you will find many different opinions on this issue! But in general any crown angle between 34.0° – 35.0° and a pavilion angle between 40.6° – 41.0° qualifies for super ideal cut proportions.
If you find a diamond that has both of these crucial proportions in the perfect middle you can be sure that the won’t be any light leakage and the balance of fire and brilliance will be perfect.
This is exactly what I got with my Whiteflash diamond. It looks amazing and sparkles like crazy.
Our First Impression
Whiteflash is certainly not the cheapest place to buy a diamond. Whiteflash is only selling high end diamonds for customers that want to have the best cut imaginable.
Super ideal cut hearts and arrows diamonds are not cheap but they have the best light performance and they truly do stand out!

In the end I was quite content with my own choice!
What I think is a minus is the fact that Whiteflash does not offer any free returns. I did not have any problem and did not have to return the diamond. But if I had to do it I would have had to pay for the insured return shipping.

Further Things that Stood Out
One aspect worth highlighting more clearly is Whiteflash’s long standing relationship with the American Gem Society. A large portion of Whiteflash diamonds are accompanied by an AGS Ideal grading report, which historically set a higher bar for cut evaluation than most other labs.

One limitation worth mentioning is that Whiteflash does not offer GCAL grading reports. GCAL is known for its very detailed cut analysis and its multi factor approach to grading light performance. Some buyers prefer GCAL because it provides additional optical documentation.
That said, the absence of GCAL reports is not necessarily a deal breaker in this case. We reviewed numerous Whiteflash diamonds in crown angles, pavilion angles and depth and found that their stones consistently fall within super ideal cut proportions, even without GCAL certification.
In practice, Whiteflash’s internal selection standards appear to act as a filter that removes marginal stones long before they ever reach the listing stage. Crown angles, pavilion angles, table sizes, and depth percentages are tightly controlled.
This internal discipline is why Whiteflash diamonds tend to show very consistent performance across their inventory. Even without GCAL reports, the optical precision is clearly there when reviewing images and data.
Another indicator of reliability is Whiteflash’s track record outside of gemology itself. In 2025, Whiteflash was recognized by the Better Business Bureau with an Excellence Award, adding to a list of similar recognitions they have received in prior years.
These awards are not based on marketing claims or popularity. They are typically tied to factors such as complaint resolution, transparency, customer service practices and long term business conduct. In other words, they reward consistency rather than hype.
